How to remove a Windows Password using the Hiren's BootCD

This video will show you how to remove a user account password in Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista/7 using the Hiren's BootCD. The program used on the CD is the 'Offline Password Changer'.

To remove a windows password from a user account in windows:
Once you have run the Hiren's BootCD at start up, use the arrow keys to highlight the 'Offline NT/2000/xp/vista/7 Password Changer' and hit enter to run the module. Press enter at each stage (uses default settings which is almost always fine) and when you get to the part titled 'User Edit Menu:' type the name of your user account followed by enter. Make sure that you type it exactly here; it is case sensitive. Then press either 1, 2, 3 or 4 followed by enter to choose the action you want to perform. What each number does is clearly shown (1 to remove the password). Now you must Type an exclamation mark '!' (without the quote marks of course) and then hit enter. Then type the letter q and hit enter. After this, type the letter y and hit enter again. Finally type quit and hit enter. Now, on your keyboard, hold and release Ctrl + Alt + Delete to reboot your system.
